LANZA, James, 89, of Scituate passed away on February 1, 2016. James is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Loretta (DeBonis), loving children, Stephen of Whitman, Maria and Joseph both of Scituate, cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Jr., Kevin, Andrew, Joby, Mia and Bella and dear brother of Stella Freni and her husband Santi of Belmont.
James graduated from Watertown High School and joined the Army at the age of 18. He served as a combat medic during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge, he trained with Deaconess & Women’s Hospital in x-ray. James worked many years in the V.A. Hospitals in Miami and Boston until his retirement.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 6th at 3PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:30PM. Burial will be on Monday, Feb. 8th at 11:15AM in MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA
