

On May 21, 2021, Jeff lost his brave battle with cancer. Jeff was born on July 5, 1961 to Robert and Elnora (Hersom) Jordan in Holyoke, MA, shortly before his family moved to 3rd Cliff in Scituate. Jeff made many lifelong friends growing up on the cliff.
Jeff is survived by his partner and best friend Margie (Horne) Zucker; his beloved son Jon S. Bass (Avery) and his grandson Elliott W. Bass. Jeff is also survived by his brothers Barry Jordan of Scituate, David and Debbie Jordan of Florida, and sister Nancy and Leo Martin of Plymouth. He was predeceased by his brothers Ronnie, Robert, Jon, and Peter. Jeff also leaves behind many much loved nephews and nieces.
After graduating high school, Jeff joined the Navy where he worked as an electrician, fireman, and airplane mechanic. After discharge, he moved from his base in California, back home to Scituate where he worked as a local painter for years, until he started his own company in 2020 where he found many clients and success until his illness forced him to stop working. He also spent time in California working and living in San Francisco and Los Angeles rebuilding after three earthquakes.
Jeff was a kind hearted man who saw the good in everyone. He was always there to help a friend in need, doing whatever was needed without hesitation. Jeff’s friends were very special to him and he had a lifelong friendships on both the East and West coasts. He loved his friends, the Patriots, golf, the ocean, his family, animals, and woodworking among others. Special thank you to Tommy Stark, Carolyn McBrien and Tommy Ferreira for their love, help and support during Jeff’s illness.
There will be a graveside service at Union cemetery on Stockbridge Road in Scituate on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 am. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A celebration of life will take place at the Marshfield VFW function room, 655 Main Street in Marshfield on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1-5 pm.
