Joan Stiles

Joan (McClellan) Stiles, of Weymouth, formerly of Scituate, passed away on October 20, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Richard Stiles, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Sheerin) McClellan. She worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for many years, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and was a sharp hand at cribbage and other card games.

She was the loving mother of Richard Stiles Jr. and his wife Shannon Stiles, Brian Stiles and his wife Lauren Stiles, and Elizabeth (Stiles) Beirne and her husband, James Beirne.

She was the adoring grandmother of Dylan, Abigail, and Matthew Stiles.

She was the devoted sister of Jane McAuliffe and her brother James McClellan, deceased.

She was also survived by many nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, Massachusetts. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate, Massachusetts. Interment immediately following at Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
