Joseph “Joey” Socorro Henriques Andrade, 62, lifelong resident of Scituate, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2025. Born on December 29, 1962, Joey was the beloved husband of Maria (Lobo) Andrade and the devoted father of Nicole, Jeromy, and Mackenzie. He was the proud grandfather of Brody, Tucker, and Josephine, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Joey was the cherished son of Amariles Andrade and the late Augusto Andrade, and the loving brother of Milton, Johnny, Teresa, the late Gussy, and David. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
A graduate of Scituate High School, Class of 1981, Joey proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1985. A loyal Marine through and through, he lived by the motto “Once a Marine, Always a Marine” and embodied the spirit of Semper Fi—always faithful to his family, friends, and community.
Following his service, Joey became the owner of Klassic Roofing, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting mark on his community. Known for his generous spirit, he was happiest when lending a helping hand—whether to a friend, a neighbor, or even a complete stranger.
Joey’s larger-than-life personality, infectious laugh, and love of storytelling made him unforgettable. He found joy in fishing, cheering on the Patriots, and, most especially, in dancing—lighting up every gathering as the life of the party. Fiercely proud of his family, Joey never missed an opportunity to brag about them to anyone he met.
Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on August 21 from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity Church in Scituate, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on August 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity, with burial to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate, MA.
