

Kerry Anne (Shortall) Youngstrom passed away peacefully at her home on October 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at age 54. She is the devoted wife of Scott M. Youngstrom and beloved mother of Kimberly, Michael and Hayley.
A lifelong dancer, Kerry was the owner and artistic director of Kerry Youngstrom’s Gotta Dance Studio in Duxbury, and the CentreStage Dance Company, for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston's Teacher Training Course, majored in dance at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, and taught and performed with the Dance Forever Studio in Braintree since 1983.
A long-standing Pembroke resident, Kerry’s CentreStage Dance Company has performed annually at the Pembroke Arts Festival since 1989. Kerry grew up in Scituate and was an avid skier, Red Sox fan and active reunion committee member for the Scituate High School Class of 1977. Kerry has donated her time and talents to visit and perform annually at the Children’s Hospital in Boston and the Festival of Trees - for the Friends of Cranberry Hospice in Plymouth Massachusetts.
Kerry is survived by her husband Scott; three children: Kimberly of New York, NY and Michael and Hayley Youngstrom, both of Pembroke; her mother Marjorie Shortall of Pembroke, formerly of Scituate; and two siblings: James Shortall of Hampton, NH and Dianne O’Brien of S. Weymouth. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Shortall.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 2-6PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 4 at 10AM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 17 Church St, Hanover followed by burial in Groveland Cemetery, Scituate.
