

He is survived by his children: Angela (Skeiber) Meyer and her husband Chris Meyer of Brooklyn, NY, and Michael Skeiber and his fiance Ava Huggins of Scituate, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Rory Maverick Meyer. Kevin is survived by his four siblings: Maryanne and her husband Timothy Burtman of Saratoga Springs, NY; Patricia and her husband Karl Pieragostini of Washington, DC; Francis and his wife Susan Skeiber of Kingston, MA; and Theresa and her husband John Hanley of Pembroke, MA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Stanley and Grace (Egan) Skeiber. He was a graduate of North Quincy High School, class of 1971. Some of his fondest memories were spent with his lifelong friends at the Quincy quarries, and surfing up in York, Maine.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1971 to 1973 and receiving a Vietnam Service Medal w/1*. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, he worked for Western Geophysical as an Operations Manager of Worldwide Marine Crews.
Kevin was an avid runner for many years, successfully completing 3 Boston Marathons. Fitness was a lifelong passion of his, and he loved the connection and community he found at Baystate Gym.
Kevin was known for being a fantastic cook, and hosting legendary parties. No one made a better Irish boiled dinner, or made you feel more welcome than Kevin did. His knack for hospitality led him to open his own establishments along with his friends, notably Thames Street Station (Newport, RI), The Great American Pub (Raynham, MA), and TK O’Malley’s (Scituate, MA).
Kevin will be remembered for his incredible strength, generosity, warmth, and positivity. He had a quiet confidence and a witty sense of humor, which came out in his epic storytelling of his life’s adventures around the world. His greatest pride was his family.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 3PM-7PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home (382 First Parish Road, Scituate). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church (1 Kent Street, Scituate). Burial will follow at 1:45PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne (Connery Ave, Buzzards Bay).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin’s memory can be made to Special Olympics, or United Service Organizations (USO).
