On October 6, 2021, Lawrence (Larry) K. Trainor, 74 years young, the wonderful husband of Rose Marie, for 28 years, passed on to new life. Larry lived in Marshfield, Massachusetts and is formerly of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.
Larry, better known as “Dudie”, by his beautiful wife Rose Marie was surrounded by the love of Rosie and his “girls” Muppet and Bugsy. He was in love as deeply as any being could be with his family. Rose Marie, or “Rosebud”, as Larry often spoke so fondly of her, was his soulmate.
Larry was a soulful, deeply religious individual who loved the Lord. He was a man of honesty and integrity. Larry found much peace and solace with visits to the Glastonbury Abbey in Massachusetts. The Abbey provided spiritual and emotional comfort to Larry. He was most appreciative to the monks for this sanctuary of comfort and love.
Larry graduated from California University of Pennsylvania. He worked judiciously throughout his life for 40 years in the hospitality industry.
Larry was an avid Steelers fan even while living in “Patriot” country. Larry enjoyed traveling with Rosie; their trips to Ireland were the highlights of their travels.
Larry was born on August 7, 1947 to the late Lawrence and Dolores Trainor. His parents were his strength and support throughout his life. He often fondly said, “I’ve learned my parents were always my biggest cheerleaders.”
In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, he also was preceded by the deaths of his sister Christine Trainor Sgroi, his brother-in-law Anthony Sgroi, his brother-in-law John (Jack) Jubak, and nieces Holly Mercer and April Knigge.
