Lorraine (Fitzgerald) Malcolm, 85, of Duxbury, formerly of Marshfield passed away peacefully on the morning of April 26, 2018 at the Bay Path Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Duxbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Malcolm, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage.
Devoted mother of the late Patricia McGuirk and the late Richard Malcolm, and mother in law to Kevin McGuirk of Acton and Brook-Ann Malcolm of Marshfield.
Cherished “Nana Rainy” of Brian McGuirk, Kellie (Malcolm) Cullen, Sean Malcolm and Hayley Malcolm and great grandmother of Connor, Cameron and Raegan.
Loving sister of Joan McGlinchey and her husband Joseph of Boston and the late George Fitzgerald. Sister in law of Katherine Fitzgerald of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorraine was born in “Southie” and spent most of her life living in Roslindale, before moving to Marshfield to live near her son and his family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like chocolate, Dunkin’ Donuts Coolattas and maybe a few glasses of Chardonnay. A shopaholic at heart, not a season went by without her redecorating her beautiful home. She was a hostess with the mostess and her famous stuffed peppers recipe stands unrivalled. Above all else, she cherished every moment with her family and her memory will live on in their memory until they meet again.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
