Louise Proctor

SCITUATE - Louise E. (Chessia) Proctor, age 91, passed away peacefully at home July 24, 2012. Louise was born in Scituate to Carl and Charlotte Chessia. She worked in Boston in the insurance industry and met her first husband there. After his death she went back to work in Boston for Macomber Builders. Louise was an accomplished seamstress and made clothing for herself, family and friends. She was a member of the Scituate Harbor Methodist Church, and was active in most church activities. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cuneo and John Proctor. She was the mother of the late Ruth Amoroso, and aunt of the late Richard Howard Chessia. She is survived by her three nephews; Robert, Thomas, John and their families all of Scituate. John’s sons Robert of Scituate and Paul of Naperville, IL, and Ruth’s husband Domenico Amoroso of Brookfield, MA and many grand and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Scituate Harbor United Methodist Church, 55 First Parish Road, Scituate on Tuesday’ July 31 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours have been omitted, burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to the Harbor United Methodist Church.
