Madeleine (Bailey) Von Iderstein, age 91 of Scituate, died on May 17th, peacefully in her sleep at Life Care Center in Scituate. She was the daughter of the late Philip S and the late Maud (Howard) Bailey. She was educated in the Scituate schools and Burdett College. She retired from the accounting department of C.T. Main Corp., Boston, in 1982.
An active church worker, she was a former Deacon and Parish Visitor of the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, Scituate, a former Director of Christian Education, and a Church School teacher for more than thirty years.
Mrs. Von Iderstein leaves a daughter Priscilla Cahill of Palm Coast, Florida, a son Philip of Scituate, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate, June 3 AT 2:30 p.m. to which relatives and friends are cordially invited. Visiting hours will be omitted and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Von Iderstein’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
