FONTES, Manuel L. " Manuel Di Ita", 87, of Scituate, passed away on November 27th, 2015 after a short term illness. He was the loving husband of 57 years of Maria "Jesuina" Fontes, devoted father of Maria "Nhanha" Veiga, Rosalina Fontes, Manuel "Manecas" Fontes and Pedro Fontes. Also survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and 2 sons in law.
Please join the family in wearing some form of white reflected attire and or in making flower selection in his final memory. The color white represents what he loved the most, dancing and joy.
Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd 4PM to 8PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 3rd at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate at 11:30AM followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
