Mark A. Swift

He was the devoted husband of 58 years to Roberta (Philbrick), loving father of Kimberly Andrew and her husband, Richard of Scituate, Melanie Anderson and her husband Grenville of Cohasset, Marcia Daly of Scituate and Mark Swift, Jr. and his wife Kerry-Ann of Pembroke, proud grandfather of Jonathan and Marissa Andrew, Nicolas, Katherine, Meghan and Alexandra Anderson, Andrew and Brendan Daly, Katelyn, Alexis and Trevor Swift and great grandfather of Bryce Altig.

Mark was a long time resident of Scituate. He taught special needs in the Scituate Public School System and taught piano to many children in town. For many years, he ran Camp Eagle for special needs children. He was a joker. a card. a great storyteller. a straight shooter, and a gentleman, in the truest meaning of the word.

The family would like to thank Life Care Center of Scituate for the love and care they gave Mark, especially his special nurse and friend Patrice Siddall.

A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on September 19th at 2:00 p.m at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Rd, Scituate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
