Nina T Belsan

Belsan, Antonina Therese "Nina"- Age 78, of Scituate, passed away January 13, 2017 at the Cardigan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Assunto Giordano. Nina was the beloved wife to the late Gerald E. Belsan.

Loving mother to James Belsan, wife Mary, of Marshfield, Teresa Belsan, Pete Belsan, wife Michelle and John Belsan, wife Marcella, all of Scituate; cherished grandmother to Rachael, Hannah, Julia, Elaina, Lily, Matty, Andrew, Jackson and Seamus; beloved sister to Concetta Drory, Teresa Beatty, Perry Marlon, Peter Giordano, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A long time resident of Scituate, Nina and her family enjoyed many days at the beach. She was an avid golfer. Nina loved to sing and dance and was involved in musical theatre through the annual Cabaret show in Hingham for many years. Nina loved decorating her house, especially at holiday times, and was an excellent cook. She was a writer, contributing to the Patriot Ledger and Scituate Mariner frequently. She was a small business owner and consultant, helping other women succeed in the business world. She loved sitting on her porch and enjoying the garden and flowers. Most importantly, Nina loved her family. She lived to be with her four children and nine grandchildren.

Visitation to take place Thursday January 19, 2017 from 4pm-6pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday January 20, 2017 at 10am from St. Mary's Of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate.
