

He was the beloved husband of nearly 55 years to Catherine A. (Keenan) Ahern.
Devoted father of David Ahern & his wife Mary of Bradford, Stephen Ahern & his wife Karen of Scituate and Karen Falvey & her husband Robert Falvey, Jr. of Hingham. Proud Grampy of Ryan, Matthew & Kaitlin Ahern, Connor & Stephen Ahern, Jr., and Kate & Robert Falvey, III of Hingham. Loving brother of the late Francis Ahern, Jr. & William Ahern.
Born in Winthrop, MA he was the son of the late Francis & Florence (Brown) Ahern.
Paul, a licensed electrician, worked at the Boston Edison Company for 44 years and served on the Board of Trustees IBEW Local #369. In addition, he taught Electrical Code classes at S. Shore Voc. Tech for many years.
Paul was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting , fishing, and biking with his family and friends. He and his wife “Kip” loved to travel and enjoyed their many trips to Europe.
Memorial Visitation on Saturday May 30th from 10-11 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, SCITUATE. Burial will take place at the Cudworth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Cardigan Nursing & Rehab. Center, Activities Dept., 59 Country Way, Scituate, MA 02066 or the the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
