Peter W. Johnson of Marshfield, formerly of Scituate, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital on August 30th 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Wendel and Lillian (Larsen) and brother Paul Johnson.
Peter is survived by his wife of 60 years Linda (MacKay) Johnson, son Scott of Wareham, daughter Susan and her husband John Allen of Marshfield; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson of Bridgewater, Delaney, Blake, and Shea Allen of Marshfield; cousin, Eric Johnson; many loving nieces and nephews; and also a dear friend, Amy Johnson.
Peter worked for 40 plus years as a sales manager, primarily at Merriman Brothers of Hingham, which allowed him to travel throughout the United States, South America, and Europe.
He loved playing tennis, going to Humarock and Peggotty Beach, and walking. He was a part of the “Mall Walkers” at Hanover Mall.
Peter and Linda spent 30 years visiting the island of St. Martin and making many lasting friendships.
His family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caretakers at Croí Health for all the love and support they have provided.
A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be planned with details forthcoming.
