Raymond was born on April 9, 1944 to parents Joseph and Helen Sanborn. Raymond worked as a truck driver for Scituate Concrete Pipe for many years and later worked for the town of Scituate until retirement. He was the loving father of Lisa Brennan, Raymond D. Jr. and Daniel Sanborn. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Samantha, Shawn and Shayna Sanborn, and Aubrey Brennan, as well as his great-granddaughter, Patience Sanborn. In addition to spending time with his family, Raymond enjoyed model trains, watching western TV shows, attending Pow-Wows, and listening to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. He also loved horses and would often go to stables to watch them.
A visitation will be held at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate on Friday May 12, 2023 from 4-6 pm with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 6pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to www.EquineRescueNetwork.com.
