Bob and I have been friends for over 50 years. We first met at the University of Miami when we both were engineering students. We both had careers at the Department of Defense at various locations. We corresponded and visited each other over the years as we both had similar interests in business, family, sports and hobbies. Over the years Bob kept us updated on his family activities as he was very proud of Peggy and their other family members. In 1986, Peggy and Bob came to my wedding to Louise and accepted the honor of being my best man. Over the many years Bob and I hunted the many antique markets along the East coast and Florida. Louise and I will miss Bob very much.

Mrs. McAlpine, my heart is breaking for you, Jenny, Katie and the kids. Mr. McAlpine had incredible and unique sense of humor that I’ll never forget. He was a wonderful, one-of-a-kind type of person, truly a beautiful soul. I am so very sorry for your loss and I am praying for you.
