Robert Nichols

Nichols-Robert S. of Duxbury, formerly of Scituate, passed away suddenly after a long illness. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his family. Robert was a veteran of the USAF. He loved driving his red Mercedes, the Red Sox, his garden, and he spent most mornings with friends at a local coffee shop. Robert worked many years as Production Manager at MASSA Products in Hingham-retiring only because of his health.

Robert is survived by his wife; Ellen (Callahan), his daughters; Cindy Cheever and husband David of Duxbury, and Sherry Kelleher and husband Michael of Pembroke, as well as grandson, Christopher Nichols of Charleston, SC and granddaughters; Julia DeBenedictis and Sarah Cheever. He also leaves his sister; Arlene McIntosh of NH and Dorothy Beschi of Marshfield, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 4-8PM. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Scituate on Thursday at 10AM.
