Born on October 2, 1953, Bob grew up in Quincy, MA, and was the beloved son of the late Robert and Margaret "Peggy" Shine. He was the devoted husband of Elaine Shine, and a loving father to Brendan Shine and his wife Jazmin of Alpharetta, GA, Chris Shine and his wife Jenn of Sanford, ME and Justin Fleming and his wife Megan of Omaha, NE. He was also the proud "Grampy" to Leo (4), Chase (2), and Riley (6 months), who brought him endless joy and pride.
Bob was a proud member of the Local 103 Electricians Union, where he built a long and respected career marked by hard work, loyalty and camaraderie. After retiring from the trade, Bob poured his heart into a new venture - founding Shinetti's Ice Cream and Shinetti's Grill, where he served up treats and smiles from his hot dog trailer at local sporting events. Fondly known throughout the community as "The Hot Dog Man," Bob became a cherished part of many local traditions.
Family was the center of Bob's world. He will be remembered for his calm and steady presence, big heart, and sense of humor. Watching his sons grow and become fathers themselves filled him with pride and he embraced every moment spent with his grandchildren as Grampy, a title he wore with great love and joy.
Bob's legacy is one of family, friendship, hard work and deep community connection.
