
Ryan William Walsh, of Boston passed away on April 26, 2017 after a long struggle with addiction. He was born August 30th, 1985, the son of Marilyn Howes Walsh of Roslindale and the late Russell W. Walsh. He attended Scituate public schools and graduated from Massasoit Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Ryan is survived by his mother Marilyn, his sister Kelly Walsh and her wife Tiffani Faison, of Jamaica Plain. He is also survived by his loving aunt and uncle Janice and John Cummings and loving cousins, Joseph Cummings, Kevin Lewis and Heather Lewis.
Ryan was living at the Hope House in Boston, where he was doing well and piecing his life together. He was committed to rebuilding his relationships with his mother and sister. He was making many personal connections at the Hope House and had just started working at the John Nagle Company, where they accepted him with open arms. Ryan enjoyed good food, particularly his mother’s cooking. He also enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball. Ryan had a dry sense of humor and a good heart that was evident in the care he took with his family and his friends.
Ryan had a strong family that loved him and wanted the world for him. He grew up surrounded by love and laughter, playing with his sister and cousins until the lights came on and dinner was ready. Ryan's mother, father, and sister loved him and enveloped him with their love and support throughout his years.
Ryan’s struggle was long and very hard on him and those around him. His family was hopeful that he could beat this terrible addiction. Ryan lost his battle, but his spirit, sweetness and smile will continue to live in all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to join together to remember Ryan and celebrate his life at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 20that the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Scituate.
