

He was born in Salem, MA, but grew up in Scituate. He attended Colby College in Maine, University of Massachusetts at Salem, and was a 1983 graduate of the Textile Sciences program at UMass Dartmouth. Scott spent more than 30 years in various textiles engineering roles withAllied-Signal/ Honeywells various plants, and most recently retired from Dominion Fiber Technologies of Richmond. As soon as Scott was old enough, he bought his first tractor-trailer and went out on the road.
Scott loved music, motorcycles and telling trucking stories. He was a lifetime member of the River City Blues Society and was a highly regarded keyboard player in several bands.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sandra (Vanderpool), and his mother, Dorothy Faulkner of Scituate. He is preceded in death by his father, A. Leslie Faulkner. He leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott was a wonderful husband, son, friend and mentor who touched many lives.
A Celebration of Scott's life will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and to join with the family immediately following the service in St. Luke's Dutton Hall.
In lieu of flowers, it was Scott's wish that friends support live music in their area.
