Thomas J. Coughlan

Coughlan, Thomas James - Age 69, of Plymouth, passed away on July 3, 2025. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Elaine Virginia Coughlan and late Thomas Edward Coughlan of Scituate, Massachusetts. Father to Thomas David Coughlan (Son), Melissa Peterson (Daughter) and Joshua Peterson of Pembroke, Massachusetts, Derreck Coughlan (Son) of Plymouth, Massachusetts and Ahleah Wysocki (Daughter) of Walpole, Massachusetts. He was the brother of Cynthia Toomey (Sister) and Daniel Toomey of Norwell, Massachusetts and David Edward Coughlan (Brother) and Julie Coughlan of Scituate, Massachusetts. He will be remembered by Patricia Sullivan and Billy Sullivan of Scituate, Massachusetts, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Tom grew up in Scituate Harbor, Scituate, Massachusetts then went on to become a machinist and owner of Coughlan Machine Norwood, Massachusetts.

Tom was an excellent machinist, excelling in diagnostics, engine building and repairs. He loved socializing, boating and was blessed to have many friends especially the men that worked at the machine shop and his regular customers. He carried a zest for life, grit and an Irish sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by those that loved him.
