I first met Vinnie here in Sun City when he invited me to play old time music with a fiddler in Savannah. Later, I joined him in the Mountain Strings. He freely shared a lot of his musical knowledge, and insights that will stay with me. From him I learned many new songs (and their histories) I never would have known. I am glad to have known him, even though it was only for a few years.
My wife and I extend our condolences to his family.

I knew Mr. Izzo from Cranberry Lake. I remember him always having a smile on his face. He was by far the best announcer for all the many activities organized by the Lake. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his daughter Kathy who I was friendly with back in those days. Gerard Francois, Philadelphia, PA 1/11/2013

Vinny was an early member of the Mountain Strings Club in Sun City, where I live. We who were there at the time remember him well....he would bring in music and teach us new songs. We still play many of those pieces and always remember him when we do.

You will be in our thoughts as you remember and celebrate Vinny's life.
