Born in Boston, Bill was a 1960 graduate of Dorchester High School where he would meet his future wife.
A resident of Quincy for over 50 years he was active at St. John the Baptist church. “Mr. Luosey” as he was respectfully known, coached basketball, ran the drop-in center and chaired a very successful game at the annual St. Anthony’s Feast.
Bill worked as a truck driver at Grossmans for almost 30 years and finished his career at Romanow Container.
He enjoyed spending as much time as he could at the family’s place down the Cape in South Yarmouth. Bill especially liked swimming at the “Town Way to Water” and diving off the jetty.
“Uncle Billy” loved to tease and gave as good as he got. His goal was to make everyone feel welcome and he succeeded.
Bill is survived by his best friend and wife of 58 years Ann (Genduso). He was the loving father of Bill and his fiancé Lisette Nelson of Orlando, FL and Kristen Emond and her husband Alex of Scituate, MA. He was Papa to Alexandra Hagmaier (Tyler), Cassidy Luosey, Violet Cato, Courtney Luosey, Madison Joy and Mackennan Nelson-Horn as well as great grandfather to Grayson and Olivia Hagmaier.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10 am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street.
