

His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Cindy Bowker officiating. Andrew was born on August 27, 1930 to Avis (Polage) and Carl Moore in Hebron, NE. Andy grew up in the farming town of Belvedere, Nebraska and graduated from Belvedere High School in 1948. After high school, Andy joined a road construction crew which brought him to the Nebraska panhandle where he married Jean Nichols February 4, 1951.
In 1952, Andy was drafted into the military, where he served two years during the Korean Conflict. After two years in the Army, he returned to work at the United Telephone Company of the West. Andy started as a lineman and later became a dispatcher for the panhandle region. He worked for UTC for 44 years, retiring in 1992.
Andy was a member of the Masonic Lodge serving as a Mentor for several years for the organization. He was also a member of the Bluffs Shooters Club.
Andy is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean; their three children: Jean Ann Moore (Jim), Scott and his wife Marcia Moore and Leslie Moore (Mike); five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
His is preceded in death by his parents.
