Arlene Ann Anaya Castro, 37, of Henderson, Nevada, formerly of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, got her wings and went to walk with the angels to meet her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2021 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, August 22, 2021 with the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Reverend Joseph Thambi officiating. The Family encourages masks to be worn. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be given to the Platte Valley Bank in Scottsbluff for her sons. Arlene was born January 18, 1984 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Gabriel and Dahlia (Garcia) Anaya. She attended school in Scottsbluff, graduating with the Class of 2002 from Scottsbluff High School. She worked as a para educator at Roosevelt School for over 11 years.
Arlene was united in marriage to Manuel Castro on October 5, 2007 at the Scotts Bluff County Courthouse. The couple made their home in Scottsbluff before moving to Henderson, Nevada in 2018. Where Arlene was a full-time mom to her sons.
Arlene was a dedicated mother, treasured her children, and embraced every moment with them. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with family, listening to music, and shopping with her mom. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada.
Arlene is survived by her husband Manuel Castro and sons: Christian Anaya, Jassiel Castro, and Francisco Castro all of Henderson, NV; her parents: Gabriel and Dahlia Anaya of Scottsbluff; brother Gabriel (Jen) Anaya of Scottsbluff and their daughters Nevaeh and Nielli; father-in-law Matias Castro of Mexico; and several extended family members.
Arlene was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother-in-law Isidra Hernandez, and uncle Juan Ramiro Anaya.
