

Clinton W. Stoddard, 88, of Gering, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Regional West Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sheila Taylor officiating. Interment will in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at the Hull Community in Banner County. Clint was born June 16, 1918 in Gering, NE to Clarles Clarence and Harriet Hazel (Kelley) Stoddard. He received his education in Banner County, graduating from Harrisburg High School in 1937. He married Myrna Spahr September 1, 1941 in Banner County and she preceded him in death in December of 1984. Clint farmed and ranched for fifty years of his life all within an eleven mile radius in Banner County. He married Helen (Nagel) Green on January 12, 1987 in Mitchell. They lived in Scottsbluff until moving to Northfield Villa in 2006. Clint was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hull, Sportsman Club of LaGrange, WY and the Gering Senior Center. He volunteered many hours to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and other organizations and was known not as a joiner but a doer. He is survived by his wife Helen; sons and daughters-in-law: Dwight (Vicki) Stoddard of Troutdale, OR and Gary (Marie) Stoddard of Chadron, NE; Stepchildren and their spouses: Shirley and Fred Ruff of Scottsbluff, NE and Bob and Arley Dukes of Denver, CO; 21 Grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. His first wife, parents, brothers: Clarence, Lloyd and Dean Stoddard and sisters: Olive Joy and Mary Beth Stoddard preceded him in death.
