David Charles Nagle, 76, passed on Friday, May 1, 2026, at his home in Gering, Nebraska. Born April 2, 1950, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, David lived a life marked by steady devotion, tireless work, and a quiet selflessness that showed most clearly in the way he made time for others and took pride in doing things the right way.
Dave grew up on a small farm north of Minatare, he attended Highland school and graduated from Bayard High School in 1968. He entered the National Guard in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1976.
Dave worked at Magnolia Homes and Lockwood Manufacturing after high school and later worked for Wayne Eisele, who introduced him to his drywall career. He went on to establish his own business, Dave Nagle Drywall. Dave was known as a talented perfectionist with a keen eye for detail, bringing care and discipline to every job. Even after retiring, he continued his rentals and did some work for his friends, still showing the same willingness to lend a hand that so many came to rely on.
Dave was a member of the Mormon Church and had served as a leader of the Boy Scouts. In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing, and held great pride in all his trophies. He was a Star Trek and Syfy fan and had a new enjoyment in hunting and fishing.
Dave loved watching the kids grow up and attending their events, and he was the kind of person who would help anyone in need.
