Debra "Deb" Anne Bonow

Debra A. “Deb” Bonow, age 70, of Morrill, NE, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be in care of the family to be designated at a later date.

Debra was born in Marshalltown, IA, to James L. and Delores Winter on July 31, 1956. She grew up in Fremont NE, where she received her education and graduated from Fremont Senior High in 1974. Deb then attended Platte Technical Community College and graduated in 1977 as an LPN. From there she started her nursing career in Lincoln, Nebraska, before moving to Henry, Nebraska. Overall, she spent most of her life caring and serving others, which she enjoyed the most. Her working career included Golden Living Center for 34 years and the Western Nebraska Veterans Home for 22 years. She then retired in 2024.

Deb spent retirement reading, doing crosswords word games, and sewing. She also enjoyed it when her nephew, Ryan, would call and tell her about his baseball games.

Deb was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bruce Bonow, on November 29, 1980, in Fremont, Nebraska. They moved to Henry in 1985, calling this home for three years. They then moved to Morrill in 1989, making this their lifelong home. Son's Cody, Christopher, and Brian were born into this marriage.

Deb is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Angela), and Brian (Mandy); stepson, Kenneth Bonow; brothers, Robert (Diane), and Patrick (Shelley) Winter; sister, Lynette Winter; grandchildren, Trea, Kati, Kayla, Haley, and Natalie; and great grandchildren, Cyrus, Damien, Atheana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deb was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; her son, Cody; her parents, James L. and Delores Winter; and brother, James D. Winter.
