
Declan William Siedenburg, 9, of Eagle River, Alaska, died August 2, 2013 at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, WA. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 17, 2013 at Eagle River Presbyterian Church. The Declan Siedenburg Memorial Fund has been established for research for pediatric tumors or cancer research. In lieu of flowers memorials and cards can be sent to 13700 Vasili Drive, Eagle River, Alaska 99577. Declan was born July 14, 2004 in Lincoln, Ne to James and Anita Siedenburg. He was starting third grade this year at Birchwood ABC Elementary in Eagle River, Alaska. Declan never forgot a person that he met. He loved gymnastics, outdoors, playing with his friends, building Legos, comic books, superheroes, reading, playing with his siblings, “whacking” fish after catching them ,snow machine riding, 4 wheeling, skiing, riding his bike, he lived life outdoors as a very active and fun loving little man. He loved to laugh and watching Duck Dynasty. He first profession chosen was to be a stuntman, but later changed it to be “Indiana Jones” the archeologist. Declan loved listening to music with his mom and helping her in the kitchen. He was usually dancing as he helped. He loved eating steaks and popcorn and all the ice cream and salsa he could eat. He loved fixing cars and changing tires with his dad and always wanting to learn more about all his dad’s tools. He loved climbing trees with his brother, and once they reached the top they would discuss topics of super heroes and books. He loved creating art with his big sister and loved cuddling and just being with his baby sister. Declan is survived by his parents James and Anita, brother Tristen 14, sister Hayden 11, and sister Adalynn 3; grandparents: Vance and Barb Siedenburg of Scottsbluff, NE and Ernest and Peggy Nuss of Bayard, NE.
