Donna L Keller

She was born April 14th, 1934, in Dallas, South Dakota to her parents the late Maurice and Anna “Myer” Orr of Gering, NE.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald L. “Lee Roy” Keller of 49 years; her brothers, Norman “Bud” Orr, Dean Orr and Lyle Orr; her sisters, Wanda Schmidt and MaryAnn Plummer.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Darell Keller and wife Cathy of Lumberton, TX; Lori “Keller” Watson and husband Rick of Jonesville, VA, and Douglas Keller of Scottsbluff, NE and her siblings, Dick Orr and wife Vonnie of Gering, NE, and Keitha Barlett of Greely, CO. She has 7 grandchildren; Jillian “Watson” Skidmore and husband Tracy; Joshua Watson; and Jonah Watson and wife Joni all of Jonesville, VA; Holly Jahns of Montville, CT; Janine Keller of Scottsbluff, NE; Brittany Keller of Seattle, WA; and Sierra Keller of Lumberton, TX.  Donna has 9 great-grandchildren, Mallory and Penny Watson; Saxon and Thornton Skidmore of Virginia; Heath and Zoey Bastien of Scottsbluff; and Kendra Jahns-Lamay & her husband Josiah and Seraphine “Asyro” Jahns, and Natalie Borgess all of Connecticut.

Donna had a diverse career throughout her life with being employed as a nanny while in high school, then working in insurance, accounting and in retail as she became the store manager of Yellow Front and Sellors Stores. The next change came when she became the hospital cafeteria cook, she cooked at both Scottsbluff hospitals and one of the nursing assisted care facilities.

She had a great love for people as she was involved in March of Dimes, DOVES, Meals on Wheels, Chamber of Commerce, and Volunteered in the hospital as a candy striper. She also was a charter member of Make-A-Wish Foundation in Scottsbluff and the surrounding counties where she was involved with the fundraising to allow local children to fulfill life-changing wishes. Donna was very active as she played softball and basketball for the Gering Bulldogs and later played softball for the Taylor Tots, a fast-and-slow pitch softball team. She was a painter in her earlier years with a few of her friends still in possession of her paintings.

She was active in the Eagles and VFW as well as the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and helped with construction of many floats for Oregon Trail Days. She enjoyed church and visits by family, friends and neighbors.

Visitation is on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:30 am at Grace Chapel with Pastor Sam Orozco officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff, NE.
