

Dorothy June Pester, 82, of Minatare, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. A private family service will be Noon Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ralph Morris officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials have been established to St. James Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimers Association. Dorothy was born June 11, 1929 in Minatare, NE to Fred and Charlotte (Brecht) Heilbrun, Sr. Dorothy was confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church. She attended South Highland School and graduated from Minatare High School in 1945. After graduation, she went to work at the Minatare Bank and in 1966 she worked at the Scottsbluff National Bank. Dorothy and her daughter Sheryl owned and operated The Boutique for 42 years in Scottsbluff. She married Alex Pester February 19, 1950 at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff. They made their homes in Scottsbluff and Minatare. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the St. James Lutheran Dorcas Society. Dorothy is survived by her husband Alex, daughter Sheryl Knoles of Minatare, sons, Steve Pester of Scottsbluff and Richard (Jerra) Pester of Minatare, grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) Martischewsky, Scottsbluff, Ne, Sara Pester, Scottsbluff, Traci (Paul) Cuprisin, Austin, TX and Justin Pester, Minatare, NE, great-grandchildren: Emma Pester, Caden Pester and Ross Martischewsky. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Heilbrun, Jr. July 26, 1996.
