Dorothy V. Wright

Dorothy was born in Imperial, NE, daughter of William Jennings Mohr and Martha Ruth Mohr.

She graduated from Chase County High School, Imperial Ne. as valedictorian in May 1941. She graduated in May 1945 from the University of Nebraska with a journalism degree. Engaged on Flag Day, upon his return from service in Germany, she married G. James Wright in August of 1946.

She worked at the Nebraska Department of Labor Unemployment Insurance Dept. for 20 years and was an Admiral in the Navy of the Great State of Nebraska. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta social sorority, Rho Chapter in Lincoln. She was Worthy Matron in O.E.S., Sunflower Chapter #214 in 1999 and is a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She worked many years as a foster grandmother in the Scottsbluff School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband G. James Wright and son-in-law Bob Dedlow.

She is survived by daughters Kathy (Don) Wiest of Superior NE and Sue Dedlow of Meridian, Idaho, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, three nephews and one niece and their families.
