

Earl Virgil “Chick” Garcia, 69, died August 22, 2007 in Sunnyvale, CA. His ashes will be interred at graveside services 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Pastor James Green officiating. Chick was born August 8, 1938 in Scottsbluff, NE to Rev. E. V. and Carmen Garcia. He graduated with the class of 1957 from Scottsbluff and attended Scottsbluff Junior College. He was employed as a bail bondsman in Salt Lake City, Utah and Evanston, WY. In 1982 he retired because of ill health reasons and resided in Sunnyvale, CA with his sisters, Janice and Laura Garcia until his death. Chick loved life, especially his nieces and nephews, and his many Nebraska, Utah and California friends with whom he had kept in contact. He always enjoyed returning to Nebraska for his class reunions. His extensive travels in the United States were a real joy for him. Chick is survived by his sisters, Eva Ruth Vance of Bellevue, WA, Janice and Laura Garcia of Sunnyvale, CA, Margaret Robinette of Lincoln, NE, Olga Seitz of South Bend, IN, Genevieve Medina of Englewood, CO and one brother Dr. D. J. “Jim” Garcia of Sidney, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents.
