Edwin ""Ed Nochi

Private funeral services will be held at Ed’s request. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, Nebraska. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.

Ed was born June 24, 1922, in Torrington, Wyoming to Sam and Matsu (Kanno) Nochi. The family moved to the Stegal area where Ed attended Owl Creek School and graduated from Morrill High School. Ed farmed in the Lyman area for 50 years. He retired and moved to Scottsbluff in 1997. In 1953, he married Ruby Saruwatari of Delta, CO. Three children were barn to this union.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, daughter Susan (Les) Watada of Holyoke, Colorado; Wayne (Sandi) Nochi of Gering, Nebraska and Lori (Larry) Andreisen of Covington, Washington; 6 grandchildren: Tyler Watada, Megan, Kim and Kayla Nochi, Stefani and Sean Sugihara; sisters Mae (Yukio) Sakurada of Arvada, Colorado, Ruth Yoshida and Helen Okura of Seattle, Washington; sister-in-law Sue (George) Mochizuki of Bountiful Utah and numerous nieces and nephews.
