
Emma “Amy” Harimon Martindale, 78, entered into rest Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Services will be held 1:30 pm Monday, December 20th, in Bayard at the Hope Congregational Church with Pastor Amos Harris and Reverend Ted Meter officiating. Interment will be at Bayard Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 1pm to 6 pm at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm at Bayard Memorial Chapel in Bayard. Amy was born April 22, 1926 in Bayard to Henry and Mollie (Heimbuck) Kildow. She attended Bayard Schools, both rural and High School. She was the state spelling bee winner in 8th grade. She was united in marriage to Alex “Sash” Harimon on January 9th, 1944 at the Hope Congregational Church in Bayard. They lived and farmed in the Minatare area before moving to Oklahoma City for two years where they worked in the landscaping business. They returned to Bayard where they farmed, operated the Corner Drive Inn for 11 years and carried the mail for 11 years. Amy was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher, superintendent of Sunday School, and the Hope Ladies Fellowship. She was confirmed at the Zion Lutheran church with Pastor Erbes at Bayard. Amy loved her family and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren perform in various ways. Amy was married to Doug Martindale in June of 2001. Amy is survived by her husband Doug; three sons; Allen (Vicki) Harimon of Centennial, CO., Arnold (Deborah) Harimon, and Alvin (Connie) Harimon all of Bayard; two step daughters: Linda & Julie; grandchildren; Tammy (Chuck Agins) Harimon, Tiffany (Randy Smith) Harimon, Dawn Harimon, Shane (Ashley) Harimon, Michael Harimon, Amanda Brown, and Erin (Travis) Talton; ten great grandchildren; sisters: Violet (Amos) Harris of Scottsbluff, and Mollie (Hank) Roper of Clifton, CO.; brothers:Larry(Shirley ) Kildow, and Richard (Jill) Kildow all of Bayard and sister-in-law Ruth Kildow of Bayard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister, and two brothers.
