

Emma C. Holloway, 78, of Scottsbluff died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ron Nuss-Warren officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Emma’s Closet at Regional West Medical Center or to First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel between 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m Thursday. Emma was born December 16, 1930 in Aberdeen, SD to Cornelius and Katherine (Stuckey) Kuiper. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949. Emma married Emory Holloway April 26, 1953 in Lincoln, NE. They moved to Scottsbluff in June of 1953 where Emory began his employment with Lawrence Drug Store. July 1973 they purchased the drug store from Bill Lawrence where Emma was bookkeeper and co-owner. Emma sold the store in 1999 after Emory’s death in 1998. Emma was a member and deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Soroptomists, and Cosmo Pals. She enjoyed Bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs. Survivors include her children: Debra K. (Byron) Jensen, Hastings, NE, Randall V. Holloway, Scottsbluff, NE and Sandra (Kevin) Kratz, Eagle, NE; grandchildren: Hannah and Nathan Jensen, Sondra and Sean Holloway and Kristopher, Michael and Andrew Kratz; sister: Darlene (Robert) Wilson, San Jose, CA; brother: C. J. Kuiper, Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law: Rod (Rose) Holloway, Urbandale, IA and sister-in-law: Trudie (Dan) DePasquale, Norfolk, NE. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emory and granddaughter Nicole Jensen.
