

Etta Louise Eaton, 89, of Scottsbluff died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Golden Living Center of Scottsbluff. A celebration of Louise's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Stein officiating. Following the service, cremation will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory and interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport at a later date. Etta was born September 25, 1919 in Seneca, NE to Levi Louis and Hannah Yencina (Neilson) Stryson. She spent her childhood in Edgemont, SD and graduated in 1938 from Alliance High School. She loved to go bowling, embroaidery and knit, and in married life loved to work in her yard, especially with flowers and roses. On September 22, 1940, in The First Baptist Church, Alliance, NE Louise was united in marriage to Gerald Mardel Eaton of Alliance, NE. Louise traveled with Gary while he was in the Air Force and in 1948 they moved to Scottsbluff, NE and for 20 years she worked for Dr. Benda, and for 19 years she worked for Dr. Valetski, both dentists in Scottsbluff. Through those years, she belonged to the Dental Society. Survivors include her husband, Gary; sister, Pauline Musgrove, North Platte, NE; nephews: Don (Kathy) Graham of Scottsbluff and family Maegen Graham, Omaha, NE, Chris (Stacy) and Colton Graham, Lincoln, NE, and Justin Graham , Lincoln, NE; Larry (Cheryl) Graham, Lincoln, NE and family John (Adrian) Graham, Denver, CO and Erica Graham, Lincoln, NE; LeRoy ""Roy"" (Barbara) Stryson and son Eric Stryson, Vista, CA; Rick Hungerford, Chadron and family Mark Hungerford, Laramine, WY and Michael Hungerford, Huntington, CA; Timothy Eaton and daughter, Hannah, Loveland, CO; nieces: Linda Anderson and family Scott Anderson, Mesa, AZ and Rachel Anderson, North Platte, NE; Loydele (Wes) Kehler and Brenda Kehler, Mission Viejo, CA; Stacy Eaton and Julie (Ron) Maynard and family Cole and Quinn, Helena, MT; brother-in-law Adrian (Gladys) Eaton, Loveland, CO, and sister-in-law Devona Hungerford and companion, Ben Garvin, Crawford, NE. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harland LeRoy Stryson and his wives, Doris and Elsie, her sister, Ruth Lorraine (Stryson) (Graham) Foltz and her husbands Bruce Graham and Jimmie Foltz and brothers-in-law, Earle Ritner and Don Musgrove, and infant sister, Mildred.
