Frieda Krohn

Frieda Schulze Rust Krohn passed away September 6, 2005 in Gering, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 2055 U Street, Gering, Nebraska. Frieda was born on March 17, 1911 in Emerald, Nebraska to Albert W. Schulze and Caroline L. Nobis. Frieda was baptized, April 9, 1911, in Emerald and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, March 28, 1926 in Yuma, Colorado. Frieda attended grade school in Emerald country school through the fourth grade and fifth through eighth grade in Yuma, Col. Lutheran parochial school. She married Arthur W. Rust on April 21, 1930 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alliance. Arthur passed away in 1965. Frieda married Rev. Henry Krohn, April 3, 1972 in Alliance. Henry passed away in 1978. Frieda was a lifelong faithful Lutheran, having been a member of St. Johns Lutheran, Yuma, Colorado; Immanuel Lutheran, Alliance; St. Paul Lutheran, Sidney, NE; St. Johns Lutheran, Scottsbluff and Faith Lutheran, Gering. Frieda was a housewife, clerk Box Butte County Treasurers Office, Alliance, NE.; clerk Rhodes dress shop, Alliance, NE., and housekeeper in Alliance, NE, Portland, Oregon and Scottsbluff, NE. Hobbies include crocheting until her arthritis became too painful. She is survived by two sons, Harold L. Rust (Patricia) of Westminster, CO. and Gary L. Rust (Judy) of North Bend, OR; daughter Shirley Nuss (Victor A.) passed away in 1985. Frieda has eight living grandchildren, Dave Nuss (Lynn), Exeter, Cal; Debra Nuss Gealy (Clarence), Scottsbluff, NE; Stacey Rust Lyons, Thornton, Colo; Heidi Rust Daly (Carl), Arvada, Colo; William Rust (Tina), Hillsboro, OR; Amy Rust Reynolds, Bend, OR; Mark Rust (Theresa), Bend, OR; and Noelia Rust, Eugene, OR. Susan Rust Riggi (Arlin) preceded her in death. She has five step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren. She has three stepchildren, Rev. Orville Krohn (Lorraine), Rosewell, NM; Eunice Balling, Cheyenne, WY; and Lois Gunderson, Bridgeport, NE. Three brothers, Walter H. Schulze, Arnold J. Schulze and Werner and her parents preceded her in death.
