

Gerald ""Buss"" Glenn Françon Berger, 79, of Gering died Monday, June 25, 2007 at his home in Gering. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 29, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Fr. Kelsey Hogue officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. His ashes will be interred at St. Francis Episcopal Church Columbarium. . Gerald was born Nov. 11, 1927 in the French settlement, Campbell, Neb. to Raphael Xavier and Victory Marie (Mespled) Berger. He was raised in Kearney and moved to Scottsbluff in 1945 where he completed his senior year of high school. He graduated from Scottsbluff Junior College. In 1948 he was employed by the L. B. Murphy Co where he worked for eleven years. He married Evelynne Frances Walter in 1949. He began his employment with North Central Gas Company, which became KN Energy working as a salesman and office manager until his retirement. He also worked for the Bluff's, Midwest and Carena Theatres, first in the projection booth and later as manager until 1968. He was known as a great dancer. He is survived by his children, Stephan Walter (Joanna) Davis and their daughter Sara Mackenzie of Pearland, Texas, Tanya Berger of Scottsbluff and her children Zachariah J. Klutts of Irvine, Calif. and Skye Mariah Klutts of Scottsbluff, and Babbette Berger of Gering; sisters-in-law, Ina Mae Berger of Oak Harbor, Wash. and Patricia Dean Schrader of Lincoln, Neb.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelynne, and brothers and sisters, Dorian Dale Napoleon, Jacque Joseph, Robert Verdon, Joyce Alsace Lorraine, Gloria Constant, Hermina Jean ""Midge,"" and grandson Spenser Andrew.
