Glenna Faye Snyder

Glenna Faye Snyder of Parker, Colorado, passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on August 18, 1943, in Clayton, New Mexico, to Henry W. and Rubye M. Eikner. She grew up in both Clayton and Lakin, Kansas, before moving to Dumas, Texas, in 1953.

After graduating from Dumas High School in 1961, she moved to Amarillo, Texas, where she attended community college. A few years later, Glenna joined her sister, Dorrace, in Denver, where she first worked in the restaurant industry before accepting a position with Dean Witter & Company. This began her long and successful career in the financial industry as a stockbroker and financial advisor, a profession she dedicated herself to until her retirement in 2012.

Throughout her career, Glenna treated her clients with respect and genuine care. She helped them feel comfortable making some of the most important financial decisions of their lives and made many of them feel like family. Her integrity, professionalism, and commitment to helping others earned the trust and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Glenna met the love of her life, Steve, in Denver through a mutual friend. They were married on June 30, 1973, and built a beautiful life together for the next 53 years. They lived in Denver until 1976, when they moved to Morrill, Nebraska, where they raised their family and became deeply involved in the community.

Family was at the center of Glenna’s world. She loved spending time at home with those she loved most, traveling alongside Steve on his business trips, cheering on her children at their sporting events and activities, and later taking great pride in her role as “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She treasured gathering with friends to play cards, celebrate birthdays, and plan special events. Whether hosting a holiday meal, organizing a community gathering, or simply making time for a phone call, Glenna had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She was a natural encourager who believed in the potential of others and challenged those she loved to set goals, strive for more, and become the best version of themselves. One of her favorite things to tell others was, “You’re the best,” a simple phrase that reflected her generous spirit and the genuine encouragement she shared so freely.

She was actively involved in Morrill United Methodist Church, various women’s organizations throughout western Nebraska, bridge club, the Business and Professional Women (BPW) board, and any social event she could help plan or host. Glenna loved bringing people together and was often the driving force behind celebrations, fundraisers, and community gatherings. She also loved her fast, fun sports cars, which perfectly matched her spirited personality. Her energy, generosity, and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rubye Eikner; her parents-in-law, Wayne and Ruth Snyder; her son, Jason Scott; her grandson, Cameron Sandoval; her sister, Dorrace Brewer; her niece, Lindsay Snyder; and her niece, Landa Eikner.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Stephen; her daughter, Ashley (Michael); her son, Andy; her daughter, Susan (George); eight grandchildren; her sister, Shirley; her brother, Whit (Mary); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Glenna was one of the most caring, thoughtful, generous, candid, and one-of-a-kind women anyone could ever know. She was classy, sassy, and fun. She loved fiercely and never met a stranger. She thought of others in every situation and remained strong until the very end. Send that card, place that phone call, make that donation. These angels on earth led with gentle kindness and unwavering compassion, helping bring comfort and peace to our family during Glenna’s final journey.

Visitation will be held at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3201 Ave. B, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on July 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3201 Ave. B, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361, on July 21, 2026, at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenna’s honor to Festival of Hope or the American Cancer Society. Glenna was a true warrior in the face of this terrible disease, and her courage, grace, and strength will never be forgotten.
