June was born on June 11, 1961, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to loving parents Samuel and Elsie (Schwindt) Jerger whom she adored.
June had said that the teachers at Gering Valley School laid the foundation for her Christian faith. She attended Gering High School, class of ’79 and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. From there, she settled in Western Nebraska. She thrived in her marketing roles for Riverside Zoo and Tracy Broadcasting (KMOR). She was active in many organizations throughout the area to include serving on the board for the Oregon Trail Days Foundation. In the late 1990’s, she moved to Colorado where she worked in various marketing positions before opening a culinary lovers store, appropriately named after the nickname used by all that ever saw the inside of her refrigerator, “The Condiment Queen”. It was in Colorado that she met her husband, Michael, whom she married in 2015. She loved reading, travel, antiquing – always looking for a bargain – and spending time with friends and family.
June is survived by her husband; step-children Brian Cahill, Gabriel Cahill, Michael Coronado, and Salina Coronado-Mymern; brother Tim (Colleen); niece Nicole (Scott) Will; great-niece Mateline Will; brothers-in-law Don Miller, Pat Cahill, Barry Cahill and Thomas Cahill; Uncle Paul Jerger; and many cousins and friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents; sister Cory (Don) Miller; and nephew Matt Jerger.
It is respectfully requested that memorials in June’s honor be made in care of Zion Evangelical Church.
