Henry Leo Eberhardt

Henry Leo Eberhardt, 90, of Minatare, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Beverly Health Care Center in Scottsbluff.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the Presbyterian Community Church in Minatare with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Presbyterian Community Church. Henry was born February 19, 1915 in Scottsbluff, NE to Henry and Mary (Kuxhausen) Eberhardt. He moved with his family to Bayard where he received his education. He graduated from Bayard High School. He married Hedy Behm March 28, 1939 in Harrisburg, NE. Mr. Eberhardt was a longtime resident of Minatare where he was a rural mail carrier for 30 years, and the club steward for the Minatare American Legion Club for 30 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Community Church, Minatare Fire Department and the Minatare Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by, his daughter, Judith M. Eberhardt of Minatare and son and daughter-in-law: Vern and Joy Eberhardt of Minatare; brothers: Robert Eberhardt, Dale City, VA, Elmer (Betty) Eberhardt of Eureka, CA and Ted Eberhardt of Minatare, NE; grandchildren: Tami & Rick Pierce, Tari Baker, and Traci and Ladd Petitt; and great grandchildren: Danielle, Nichole, Tyler, Ryan, Trey, Michael and Brannon. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Al and sister Ruth Lovelace.
