Isidro R Gonzales

Isidro R. Gonzales, Sr. age 86, of Scottsbluff died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Jonathan Sorensen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM on Thursday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with a Rosary Service to be held at 6PM. Isidro was born May 14, 1928 at Laredo, Texas to Catarino Sr. and Susanna (Rossel) Gonzales. He received his education in San Antonio, Texas. He was united in marriage to Rosalinda Pena on May 7, 1953 at Taft, Texas. Isidro worked as a farm laborer all of his life.

The family moved to Nebraska in 1953 where they made their home and raised their family. Isidro and Rosalinda renewed their wedding vows in June of 2003 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Isidro was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Isidro is survived by his wife Rosalinda of Scottsbluff; son Isidro Jr. of Scottsbluff; daughters Diana Rosas, Maria Enrigues, and Hope (Roberto) Cisneros, Carol Lara and Yolanda (Pablo) Cervantes all of Scottsbluff, and Norma (Enrique) Rodrigues of San Antonio, TX; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brothers Emetiro Gonzales of Minatare; sisters Lupe Villanueva of Scottsbluff and Margie Vasquez of Houston, TX; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Isidro is preceded in death by his parents, sons Mike and Jessie, brothers Catarino Jr. and Tim, infant brother Juan, and sisters Angie Rodriguez and Janie Hernandez.
