

Janice Joy Kenagy, 75, of Minatare, died Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2010, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ken Maldonado officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to Western Nebraska Veteran’s Home. Janice was born July 21, 1935, at Scottsbluff to Pete Galloway and Thelma (Patterson) Weber. She received her education at Merriman High School in Nebraska. She married Jack Ross Kenagy, January 20, 1956, at Alliance and they made their home in Minatare. She loved to garden, do crafts, and read. In her earlier years she played the steel guitar, and was a baton twirler. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She spent many hours putting up her Christmas village. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jack Kenagy; daughters, Debbie Farrell, Jackie (Bruce) Hill, and Diana Closson; son, Pete (LeAnn) Kenagy; sister, Venita Lovan; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Amber Dee Farrell.
