Jennifer Rosanne Powell

Jennifer Rosanne Powell, 35, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at WestWay Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Willie Coop officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials have been established to the family or to Summit Christian College. Jennifer was born July 2, 1975 in Scottsbluff, NE to C. Duane and Rosanne (Wooden) Powell. She received her education in Scottsbluff, graduating from Scottsbluff High School in 1993. She received her AA Degree from Summit Christian College in 1996. Jennifer worked for the Scottsbluff Public Library for 17 years and was the Library Coordinator for Summit Christian College from 2007-2010. She was a member of WestWay Christian Church. Her hobbies included reading, crafts and spending time with her nieces, nephews and family. Jennifer is survived by her mother: Rosanne Powell, Scottsbluff, NE; sister: Debora (Lewis) Powell, San Clemente, CA; brothers: Lyle Powell and Merle (Monica) Powell both of Scottsbluff, NE; nieces and nephews: Rebekah (Eric) Reed, Katherine, Hannah, Laura, Veronica, Mary, Christina and Megan Powell all of San Clemente, CA, Spencer, Kylee, Wyatt, Whitney, Havyn and Madysen Powell all of Scottsbluff, NE; great nephews and great nieces: Robert, Debora, Austin and Miriam Reed all of San Clemente, CA, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father.
