John William Woodard, 94, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Emerald Court. A memorial service in John’s honor will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Thursday, April 26 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rich Peterson officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to Alzheimer’s Association. John was born August 14, 1917 to Claude and Edith (Boldinghouse) Woodward on the family farm near Osborne, Kansas. He was the second of eight children. John served during WWII in the Army/Air Force. He married Margaret Adams June 6, 1942 in Fort Logan, Colorado. John worked for the Civil Service until his retirement in 1974. He lived the last 15 years with his son in Minatare, Nebraska. John is survived by his son Jon (Sheryl) Woodard of Minatare; granddaughters, Amy (Nick) Ellis of Longmont, Colorado and Nikki Woodard of Minatare; step- granddaughters, Heather and Tiffany Rien of Minatare; great-grandsons, Arthur and Wyatt Ellis of Longmont; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Preceding John in death is his wife, Margaret; parents, three sisters and one brother.
