

Jose L. Zamarripa, 81, of Minatare, passed peacefully at home on Friday, April 24, 2015. At his request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 6 PM at the Assembly of God Church in Minatare with Pastor Ben Hart officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 9 AM. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Jose was born October 18, 1933 in Durango, Mexico to Arcadio and Domitila (Garcia) Zamarripa. He married Gilberta Cora Garcia on March 5, 1983 in Torrington, WY and the couple recently renewed their vows with Father Vince Parsons. They made their home in Minatare and Jose worked as a farmhand until his retirement in 2003.
His favorite pastime was jigsaw and word search puzzles and spending time with his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jose is survived by his wife Gilberta of Minatare; daughters Barbara (Tony) Cerda of Detroit, MI, Sandy Cerda (JD Standley) of Minatare, Rose (Jake) Kling of Scottsbluff, Mary (Richard) Arrellano of Scottsbluff, Victoria (David) Zamarripa Park of Minatare; sons Charles Cerda (Lorena Lovato) of Brighton, Co, and Michael Cerda of Gering; daughters-in-law Vikki Cerda and Kendra Cerda; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Liliana Marquez-Arrellano.
