With Photo Juanita C. Mendoza went to be with our Lord on April 5, 2020. She was born July 28, 1938 at St. Joseph Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska to Elena (Vargas) and Dionicio Flores, the oldest of 16. She grew up in Alliance and graduated from St. Agnes Academy. After graduating she entered into the convent for a short time. When she left the convent, she moved to Scottsbluff, NE where she met Adolpho Mendoza and later married him. To this union four children were born Laura (Chris) Weber of Hemingford, Anne (Tim) Wilcox of North Platte, Claudia Stark of Alliance, and Greg (Katrina) Mendoza of Lincoln. She was also blessed with 7 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, and one great-grandson. She will be welcomed with open arms by her parents, brothers-in-law Dee and John, sister-in-law Dixie, great-nephew Michael, and many more family members.

Juanita was a devoted mother, grandma, and sister. She always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved to cook! You could always hear her music playing loudly while she toodled around her house.

You may have known her as your friend, babysitter, care taker, personal chef, or house cleaner. No matter she took pride in everything she did. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and in her life God and family came first. Her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance with Father Tim Stoner officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery at Alliance. Memorials may be given to Sisters of St. Francis/Marian Residence c/o sister Jane 1104 Toluca Alliance, Nebraska 69301. Online condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Monument Rehabilitation and Care Center for the care mom received while she was there. My Sweetest Juanita,
Thank you so much for all the years of family friendship you gifted us. Thank you for always caring and loving my family. You were good friends with everyone.
I remember we would go with our parents Ventura and Juanita Moreno to visit your family at least once a week during the summer and autumn seasons. You were always happy to have us!
When I was 18 of age, you hired me to do your hair. And I was honored to do so. You looked radiant!
I thank the almighty that we had the opportunity to visit and spend time with you 2 years ago. We enjoyed visiting you very much!
We hugged, kissed, talked and promised to come back and see you soon..
You were an angel on earth. And now you are an angel in Heaven ♥️
We will always carry your righteousness teachings in our hearts.
We love you Forever~

Never a dull moment when we as kids were out on the field playing ball. Everyone knew when Greg was playing. Catching for him was the best, I can still hear her voice from the stands. Prayers to all of her family she was the best.

When I would go to volunteer wherever Juanita was she would be the one setting up the chairs and making sure everyone had a seat. I see those same caring traits in Laura and Claudia and I have no doubt that Anne and Greg are also aware of the needs of others and work to meet them. I know you all will miss her. May God wrap you in the warmth of your memories and comfort you with His perfect peace. Helen McConnell
