Karol A. (Blake) Lacy

Karol A. (Blake) Lacy, 78, of Gering, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Butte, MT. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ken Maldonado officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park. A memorial has been established to the Valley View School. Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel between 1-6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to Noon Monday. Karol was born September 23, 1932 in Brookfield, IL to Erwin K and Anna (Nelson) Wolf. They moved to Vallejo, CA and later to Jump River, WI where she received her education. After graduating from high school she attended beauty school and worked as a beautician. She married Pete Euper in 1951. They had two children Peter and Connie while living in Watertown, WI. She moved to Rice Lake, WI and married Dr. Harlyn Blake to this union three were born: Paul H., Laura K. and Karl D. Blake. They came to Scottsbluff in 1977 and Dr. Blake preceded her in death in 1993. She married Gordon Lacy in 2004. Karol worked at the Deli at Coop and the Scottsbluff Senior Center. She delivered Meals on Wheels and was very active at the Scottsbluff Seventh Day Adventist Church and Valley View School. Karol loved to travel. She enjoyed trips to Europe, Middle East, and Alaska and loved to meet new people. She is survived by her husband Gordon; Children: Peter (Kathy) Euper, Milwaukee, WI, Connie Beneke, Hutchinson, MN, Paul (Shelle) Blake, Spokane, WA, Laura (Ben) Nagel, Butte, MT and Karl (Carmen) Blake, Shawnee, KS; grandchildren: Brittany Euper, Leah (Charles) Armstrong, Branden Euper, Jennifer (Dane) Macik, James Guptill, Rachel and Sarah Blake, Ashley Johnson and Kaleb Riggs; great grandchildren: Carter Macik, Chet Macik and Kolin Harman. She was preceded in death by her husbands Pete Euper and Harlyn Blake and one brother Frank Wolf.
